    DASSO officers taking their vow

    The new administrative security organ that replaced ‘local defence’ has launched its security installations in Ngororero district.

    The new District Administration Security Support Organ (DASSO) started operating officially in the district with 59 security officers.

    While presiding over the inauguration of DASSO- SSP, SSP Alphonse Zigira, the DPC for Ngororero district for advised the officers to always respect their duties.

    “Make sure you act according to the training you were given and fulfill your responsibilities to the citizens,” he explained.

    The DPC also reminded DASSO officers to cope with Rwandan values such as discipline, integrity, self-respect in order to enable them accomplish their tasks flawlessly.

    In presence of other security organs, district officials and local residents, Ngororero DASSO pledged to put to use the training they received to provide maximum security to people and their properties.

    DASSO is responsible for reinforcing district decisions and instructions taken in connection with security, collaborate with other organs to ensure public order and work with other organs in prevention and management of disasters.

    DASSO comes as fourth security organ alongside Rwanda National Police, Rwanda Defence forces and Rwanda Correctional Services in maintaining Rwanda’s security.
