    Three year old boy with rare disease seeks help for India treatment

    Iranzi Isaac Ndahiro, a three-year-old boy currently battling a life threatening rare disease needs urgent assistance from well meaning Rwandans, and the corporate society to help raise the sum of Frw3 million so that she could undergo a second surgery in India.

    The little boy who is now lying critically ill at his home in Mulindi village, Kabeza cell in Kanombe sector, Kicukiro district has lived with pains and discomfort all his short life.

    His distraught mother have exhausted all her funds in her efforts to see their bundle of joy lives a normal life like any other kid.

    His mother, Liliane Mbabazi, said the family had incurred debts because she couldn’t go to work regularly again owing to Ndahiro’s condition.

    Her son was born with this rare health condition but managed to have the first operation in India in 2014, but now the child needs to go back to India for a second operation to save his life.

    In its earlier pledge the ministry of health agreed to assist Isaac with medical treatment costs in both surgeries but according to Isaac’s mother, the family cannot raise the air tickets, facilitation, and accommodation while in India.

    “The doctors have continued to call me asking why I don’t bring the child for the second surgery. The reality is that I cannot afford it, and need more help to save his life as before” she narrates, adding that “I am thankful for the support given to Isaac during the first operation, and kindly ask for the second time and last chance”.

    The baby’s mother, is also full of sorrow. “For sure I feel depressed whenever I see my son languishing in pain –sometimes he tells me that she is tired of hospitals. I’m begging all good Samaritans to support my little boy with any amount. I want my son to live. He is really suffering and in pain.”
