Rwanda : Bugesera: illegal Drugs worth Rwf5.08m destroyed
Rwanda police with the prosecution and Nyamata court that work in Bugesera district, on May 31st 2012, destroyed drugs found in this district three months ago. Â
The event to burn and pour down drugs in the presence of residents took place in Gasenyi village in Nyamata sector.
20 jerry cans of dry gin, 103 kilograms of marijuana, 75 bottles of chief waragi, 190 packets and boxes of illegal drugs all worth Rwf5.08 million.

Vice mayor for economic affairs in Bugesera district, Julius Rukundo, laments that if drugs are caught and destroyed, it’s because residents have come to understand the importance of eliminating them and there is hope it will be eradicated.
Jean Pierre Sibomana, a motorcyclist in Nyamata town together with his fellow workers who attended the event, says drugs are harmful and advise their fellow youth to stop doing and dealing in drugs.
