JADF praised for contributing to development of people
The Joint Action Development Forums (JADF) helps the local authorities to know the specific actions of every NGO that works in the district and their partners so that no two organizations working in the same place will do same thing.
They present their action plans, their budget and they are given advice on different sectors that would be fit to work in and when another organizations that wants to do the same actions comes to the same district, they are sent to other sectors that haven’t received such support as Thadée Tuyizere the executive secretary of JADF in Kamonyi district explained.
Stockholders of JADF in Kamonyi district thanked this program where they all meet together and share ideas with district leaders and it makes them feel that the government supports their role in people’s development by helping them in the implementation of their projects.
Musengiyaremye Expedith who works for Korean organization called Global Civic Sharing that works in Nyarubaka sector in Kamonyi district in promoting agriculture and education sectors said that JADF makes them feel that the government supports and values their actions.
These stock holders explained that being asked to present their action plans and reports of their projects makes stock holders review themselves and their partners become part of their program. The local authorities help by sensitizing the local people to participate in these programs.
Before the introduction of JADF, many organizations could work on the same project in the same area and there were many ghost organizations that they would that they are working on certain projects in a certain district when in actual sense they were doing nothing of the sort.
JADF was introduced in 2007 on the support of Holland country and the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) and every district has a JADF coordinator that brings together all stockholders in Kamonyi district has about 100 stockholders that are especially in agriculture, social affairs, development, education, environment conservation, religion and many others.
