Nyabihu: Residents advised about 2012-2013 performing contracts
After reviewing the 2011-2012 performing contracts late June.2012, the team that was coordinated by Jean D’Amour Gatera a worker in Premature advised Nyabihu district about the performing contracts for 2012-2013 on 5 things.
The first thing that needs emphasis is to make action plan while having in mind that Nyabihu district is usually affected by natural disasters and emphasizing on what is needed. They should also be having real measures and prepare depending on what people need.
They were also advised on the measures about how the overpopulated people in Nyabihu district can move along with their crop production so that people should not over exceed their production which would e a devastating problem.
They were also advised to think on measures they can use that people get clean water and near them and about distributing electricity and other parts of infrastructure like roads to people as they increase the level of trade between districts and sectors and improve people’s social welfare.
They were told to think about increasing the production of crops that were selected to be planted in Nyabihu district and on a long term basis.
The last thing they were advised to emphasize is about use of family planning and about that quality of education provided to their children in their schools and about general sanitation and hygiene among the people.
Gatera Jean D’amour said that if these 5 things are put in consideration, Nyabihu district will perform well in performing contracts and will have taken a step in emphasizing the development of its people in general.
Abdoulatif Twahirwa the district mayor said that on behalf of him and other district leaders with the support of local authorities and residents, they will work on the things they were advised to put emphasis on.Â
