RGAC presents governance indicators to local leaders
Officials from the Rwanda Governance Advisory Council on 22nd December 2011 conducted a field visit to Gatsibo district, Eastern Province of Rwanda as part of raising standards of good governance and capacity building of local leaders in the area of governance.

The officials began by presenting the eight key governance indicators which have been identified as essential for good governance in Rwanda to take root.
The eight key indicators are the rule of law, political rights and civil liberty, participation and inclusiveness, and safety and security. Other key indicators are investing in people, anti-corruption, transparency and accountability, service delivery and easiness of doing business and private sector advocacy.
Rwanda governance advisory council is an independent body, created by government and given a task to do research and advise government and its institution on how they can be well governed, with aim of enhancing people’s welfare.
