Gisagara: District workers interact with security officials
Gisagara district authority brought together police and army officials operating in the district in a get-together party traditionally known as Ubusabane.
District authorities said that the party was organized in a bid to wish security organs a happy new year and acknowledging their role towards the district’s success.
This get together party was preceded by a football match between army and police football teams while local residents cheered on. The game ended in a 2 all draw.
The Mayor of Gisagara district explained that; “This get together was organized so as to give time for relaxation to the army and the police and to celebrate the New Year since they didn’t manage to celebrate it as they were ensuring security in time ordinary citizens were having funâ€.
Leandre Karekezi thanked the police and the army for providing maximum security during the festive seasons. He thanked them for their patriotism and commitment towards rebuilding Rwanda.
The get together party proceeded on to the district auditorium where they cheered for a joint drink and discussions on what the district has achieved over the past years.
