Gisagara district Advisory Council on sector tour
As part of getting closer to the local population to exchange ideas on different government development programs, Gisagara district advisory council is visiting all 13 sectors that make up the district.
Members of Gisagara district advisory council began this exercise by touring sectors of Kansi, Kibilizi, Nyanza and Kigembe. The advisory council takes time to discuss with residents, listen to their concerns and demands that need improvement.
The advisory council was impressed by citizen’s requests like having access to clean water and electricity saying that they are meant to develop the sector in general. They promised to do all that is necessary to answer their requests but also demanded residents to multiply their efforts towards the district’s development.
Local residents were reccommended to live in Village settlements commonly
known as Imidugudu so that infrastructural facilities can be extended to them easily.
They were also encouraged to join the Savings and Credit Coperative known as Umurenge Sacco as part of promoting the savings culture.
The advisory council managed to solve som problems while others were reserved for concerned levels.
