Rwanda : Christian fraternity introduces thanks giving day in Rwanda
The Christian fraternity in Rwanda will this Sunday, August 26 inaugurate the thanks giving day which aims at thanking God for what he has done for the country.
The day which is being spearheaded by the clerics under the PEACE Plan project will be held on an annual basis and specifically on the last Sunday of August.
The thanks giving day which will be attended by Christians of all denominations in Rwanda will be held at Amahoro Stadium in Remera at 1pm.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, the chairman of the Peace Plan in Rwanda the Anglican Church of Rwanda Emmanuel Kolini said that there are various reasons why Rwandans need to thank God.
According to Pastor Charles Mugisha, the president of the Forum of Born Again Churches and Christian Organizations in Rwanda (FOBACOR), the country has come from far which calls for the need to be thankful to God.
He said that they want to develop the culture of giving thanks to God for what he does for the country.
The events shall be coordinated by Rwanda Purpose Driven Ministries PEACE Plan, a Christian organisation established in Rwanda by renowned American evangelist, Rick Warren.
