Rwanda | Ngororero: Rwandans continue to embrace country’s Development Fund

With the official launch of Agaciro Development Fund that the President of Rwanda Paul Kagame inaugurated recently, many leaders are taking it as their responsibility calling upon Rwandans dignity and stabilize the national budget to be self dependent.

    Rwandans continue to embrace country’s

This is the case where Gideon Ruboneza the mayor of Ngororero district and his coworkers initiated a campaign to explain to all residents of Ngororero district to participate and support the Agaciro Development Fund which is of importance to Rwandans.

In many meetings that are being held, this leader makes it a point to explain to people that this fund is to support the national budget to foresee different projects and it is not only for the rich but for everyone to participate by giving what he/she can.

Ruboneza gave an example of countries that collect people’s contribution and they solve their problems and of others by citing Norwegian Peoples Aid. Contributing towards this fund, Ruboneza says it is dignifying Rwandans and he went on to say that the fact that Rwanda is among the poor developing countries does not stop it from supporting other countries in need even if they are developed countries with the help that it can offer.

He offered solace to people by saying “the world will know the truth about what is happening and the countries that stopped their aid will give it again but we will not wait for their aid to build our country.”

Local leaders in the district were asked to be exemplary by contributing to this fund and people were given account numbers to pass through their contribution in SACCO, Bank of Kigali (BK), and Banque Populaire, National Bank of Rwanda (BNR) or through mobile telephones by writing Agaciro then the amount of money beginning with (Rwf500) that most Rwandans can afford and sending to 2020.
