    Rwanda l Kayonza: village leaders play big role in District development- Mayor

     The Mayor of Kayonza district John Mugabo appreciated the role that village leaders play in the development of the district, remarking that they are the source of residents’ welfare amid  cooperation with those they lead; according to during the general assembly of the district on 4th.Sept.2012.

    Kayonza district moved from the 23rd position in the 20101/2011 performing contracts to the 18th in this year 2011/2012 and the big part was played by village leaders where the projects begin as the district mayor explained.

    This district had 58 performing contracts it had vowed to achieve in three phases of economy, social welfare and agriculture. Promoting district economy was achieved 100 percent; promoting agriculture in land use consolidation was achieved on 108 percent and managing of the public property at 100 percent.

    Village leaders and all local leaders were asked to be courageous and work harder for the district to achieve a better position in the next year 2012/2013 performing contracts.
