local people support development programmes with great passion

Local leaders in different administration levels, government and private organizations and companies with other individuals have been participating in the Agaciro Development Fund where all Rwandans and their well wishers contribute.

The aim of the fund is to stabilize Rwandan economy without depending on the foreign aid, people who live in Amahoro settlement village have also participated by contributing to this fund.

Local residents of Amahoro settlement village in Karenge cell in Kibungo sector in Ngoma district contributed Rfw450.000 to be put in the Agaciro Development fund on the 9th.Sept.2012 which is meant to provide Rwandans with their dignity which was started after some countries cut off the aid to Rwanda following the UN reports that Rwanda is involved in the insecurities in the DRC.

According to what was said during this act, dignity is attained while showing how much one loves his/her country by supporting it and developing it. This was the reason even why the poor people could give all they could to show they support.

One woman who decided to give one thousand said it is all she could give and hopes it will help in giving herself and all Rwandans dignity they deserve. The village leader Audace Kazoza said that this fund is meant to support Rwandans in development and they will keep contributing till they get about Rwf800.000.

Floribert Niyonteze the in charge of registration in Kibungo sector appreciated the gesture done by Amahoro village which will be the start for all villages in this sector. Niyonteze also called upon other villages to imitate this gesture.

Agaciro Development Fund was initiated by the president of Rwanda Paul Kagame and he asked all Rwandans to contribute voluntarily to support this fund and participate in Rwanda’s development without waiting on foreign aid.
