Rwanda: China and Rwanda to forge good relationship
The relationship between Rwanda and china should be based on the partnership that meets both parties’ interests said the president of Rwanda Paul Kagame.
“China has a strong economy and technology and Africa has natural resources, if these natural resources are backed up with financial support and knowledge, Africa and china will both profit from it.â€
The president said this during the press conference he had in Tianjin during the 6th International conference on economy that was on 11th– 13th.Sept.2012. In July 2012, the president of china Hu Jintao while in Beijing said that China is going to give $20 billion to Africa to promote infrastructure, agriculture, factories and small scale industries.
Towards the end of 2011, china invested about $14.7Billion in Africa that is to say about 60%compared to 2009. President Kagame said that for a good relationship between Africa, chins and even Europe, all sides have to respect each other as partners with the same interests.
This president’s visit to china is the third since 2000 when he was elected the president of Rwanda and since then, Rwanda and china have been characterized by good relationship and support that has been productive to both countries.
