Rwanda | Gatsibo: local people reminded their role in security matters
The district security meeting in Gatsibo has called upon Local people to enhance their own security while avoiding drug abuse as it seems to be one of insecurity causes.
They were also participate in the government operation of disowning small arms, the meeting noted 14th.Sept.2012 in Gatsibo district.
Ambrose Ruboneza the mayor of Gatsibo district who presided over this meeting said that this will help them to achieve the performing contracts they vowed to achieve while protecting what they have earned.
“The district’s security and the country in general is the basis to freedom and peace of all Rwandans.” He said.

Youssouf Ndayishimiye a resident in Gatsibo sector said that keeping their security will give them more dignity and they are ready to protect it and fight all things that could waver this security like drugs and violence.
This meeting was attended by army and Police leaders in the district and the theme of the day was “the role of security in the development of the country”.
