    War on drugs must be everyone’s duty.

    It is everyone’s assignment to fight drugs in Rwanda particularly in Ruhango district that begun an open protest involving all levels of people in the district on 12/01/2012 when they strongly campaigned for war on the abuse of drugs. District mayor Mbabazi Francois-Xavier asked all people to engage in fighting drugs because the future of the country depends very much on youth.

    District leaders on the forefront in fighting drugs

    Fighting the distribution and drug usage that is increasing day and night among the youth is being fought at different levels of the nation where by Ruhango district stake holders together with local people and the youth walked around town in a campaign against drugs.

    District mayor Mbabazi Francois-Xavier asked all people to fight drug use because its effects can even get to those who do not use them.

    Head of police in Ruhango district showed to the people some of the drugs commonly used in the district. Drug use is becoming very common in places known to be the source of knowledge at all levels from primary, secondary to universities.

    Harindintwali François confessed to have started using drugs when he was in primary five up to when he left school and ended up to be a street child.

    Thirty people in Ruhango district died last year as a result of drug use while ninety vehicles made accidents all as a result of using drugs.
