Rwanda | Nyamagabe: Southern Province Governor visits Nyamagabe district
On November 22nd 2012, Southern Province administration visited Nyamagabe district to evaluate and implement the performance contracts.
The visit gathered the governor of Southern Province, Army and Police chiefs in southern province, Nyamagabe district mayor and workers, cell and sector executive secretaries and village leaders.
The mayor of Nyamagabe district, Philbert Mugisha showcased what the district has done as far as 2012-2013 contract performance execution is concerned.
The governor of southern province Alphonse Munyantwali asserts that Nyamagabe district has been emerging the best in implementing performance contracts due to team work.
Governor Munyantwali adds that if Nyamagabe is no longer coming number one is not that teamwork ceased to work but just because other districts are working hard.
The governor urged district workers to work hard, be committed if they are to successfully play their part in the performance contracts.
He adds that leaders should make right decisions on the challenges they face or seek advice from higher authorities if necessary, be innovative and serve the residents.
Mayor Mugisha highlights they are ready to reap big from the advice given to them on implementing performance contracts and improving residents’ social welfare.
In security talk by General Major Mubarach Muganga, Chief of Defense force in southern province reminded leaders to take part in keeping security of the country through sensitizing residents on night patrolling and reporting crimes.
