Burera: Youth called to fight drug use

Youth called to fight drug use

The vice-mayor for economic affairs in Burera district, Joseph Zaraduhaye has advised youth to protect themselves from drugs.

Youth especially in secondary schools abuse drugs such as marijuana, gin and others to be able to do things they fear to tackle normally as they reveal.

Vice-mayor Zaraduhaye says “Youth use drugs to be fearless and commit crimes. We can use that confidence to build our nation instead of becoming a burden to our society and families.”

During the closing ceremony of the two weeks civic education program, secondary school leavers in Burera district were asked to be the bearers of Rwandan values and norms.

The district vice mayor called upon youth to add good discipline to the knowledge so as to prepare a brighter future.

He asked them to continue and participate in the three months voluntary work directed at the development of the country due to take place in 2013.

Zaraduhaye added that attending the volunteer activities is like working for heaven since it’s the Almighty God to bless the good people with heaven and hell to the bad people.
