    Gakenke: JADF gets new president

    Gakenke JADF gets new president

Dr. Valens Hafashimana, New President (JADF)-Gakenke

The JADF general assembly “JADF Terimbere Gakenke” in Gakenke district on January 18th 2013 elected Dr. Valens Hafashimana as the new president after Dr. Paul de Rire Habineza.

Dr. Valens Hafashimana, who works with Access Project in Gakenke district, asserts that his first priority is to present the residents needs to different development partners so that vision 2020 is achieved.

JADF organized an open day and played a big role in the development of Gakenke district, explains Dr. Paul de Rire Habineza; former JADF President

Dr. Habineza explains that the new leadership must extend JADF services to the lower administrative levels (sector), training them to improve their services.

Different JADF sub-commissions were urged to work hard and implement priority projects one by one.

During the meeting, projects working in Gakenke district were reminded to present to the district administration performance contracts pledged for 2013 and to deliver their JADF contribution in time.

It is planned that the performance contracts and the projects will be evaluated every year to find out if they were implementation.
