Burera- Ministry of youth to support youth projects

The Yinister of Youth, Jean Philbert Nsengimana has encouraged the youth of Burera district to be job creators as a way of eliminating poverty in their community.Â
Minister Nsengimana reminded the youth that they are the strength of the nation and should be courageous to set up exemplary projects aimed at poverty alleviation.
The minister toured some of the youth projects in Burera district, which included one of the promising projects started by Philbert Mutabaruka , 22 years of age, a resident of Rugarama sector.
Mutabaruka has a poultry farm of 700 chickens and he started the 2million worthy project after selling off his piece of land at one million francs and borrowed another one million francs from the bank which he used to set up the poultry farm.

Mininister thanked Mutabaruka for being brilliant and courageous to venture in to such business. The minister used Mutabaruka’s example to inspire the rest of the youth to emulate such examples of courage and determination.
“The ministry will support the youth who will set up good promising projects aimed at poverty eradicationâ€, Nsengimana said.
Nsengimana asked the youths of Burera to join and work with cooperatives, association, and own bank accounts saving purposes.
The minister was generally impressed with the youth in Burera and said that they are hard working but that they should get out of traditional ways of doing things and adopt new modern of working.
The minister’s visit to Burera district is part of ministry’s program to tour all youth programs countrywide and access youth development programs, and give counsel to inspire the youths towards development.
