Rwanda : “Burera is a provincial hub†say Governor Bosenibamwe
Northern Province Governor Aimé Bosenibamwe has said that Burera district is central to the growth of the province due to its richness in agriculture production.
The governor made the remarks during the launch of Burera development exposition in which was held Cyanika. These remarks come at a time when the Northern Province declared top in eliminating poverty during the launch of Rwanda’s Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy (EDPRS II)
The EDPRS evaluation of poverty reduction is based on agriculture, and Burera district is so far the most outstanding district in agriculture development in the province. The Governor noted that it’s against this background that the district Mayor, Samuel Sembagare, was sent to India for training in agriculture development.
“The mayor was sent for studies in modern agriculture so that he can use the skills to boost the agricultural skills in this community so as to modernize and transform the sector†the Governor said.
Bosenibamwe asked the residents to work closely with local leaders so as to boost the agricultural sector to greater heights in the province.
