Gisagara leaders to put more efforts as evaluation shows a missing gap
In a meeting that had gathered several local leaders of Gisagara district to evaluate the district’s progress, the district mayor Leandre Karekezi called upon the attendees to double efforts in order to meet their set targets of the fiscal year 2011-2012.
“As the fiscal year of meeting the set targets has 3 months to the end, we have to increase our efforts in order to attain what we promised.†Said Mayor Leandre Karekezi
The fiscal year (2011-2012) of setting targets began in June 2011 and will end in May 2012.
On this 02nd February 2012, at the multipurpose hall of Gisagara, it was time for the local leaders of Gisagara to evaluate and discuss which progress they had made and intend to do.
Several sectors were discussed and a few are some;
Despite Gisagara district’s better performance in education, their target of recruiting 26,000 members into microfinance cooperatives named SACCO failed with them having 10,397.
There also appeared a failure to meet the agreed target of solving 1938 Gacaca cases. Only 771 have been solved leaving the others pending.
