The national statistics body of Rwanda is sensitizing all leaders of Kirehe district that they suppose to contribute in the fourth coming national census.

Jean Baptiste Serugendo who works with the National statistics body of Rwanda says they are trying to make leaders understand their role in the fourth coming national census.

The national census enables leaders to properly understand the social and economic living standards of people living in Rwanda and properly allocate the available resources.

Leaders were urged to ensure that people responsible for carrying out the census in their respective sectors have all the required necessities, ensure they are given the right information and ensure each and every person is counted.

The executive secretary of Kirehe district Eric Zikama said it is important the national statistics body came to remind them about the fourth coming census because the aims and objectives of the census to be carried out would not be met without the cooperation of lower level leaders.

The meeting was attended by army officials, Police representatives, sector executive secretaries and non government organizations.

The NationaI census is expected to kick off on the 16th of August and end of the 30th of the same month 2012.
