Rwandan Fine Artists exhibition in Rhineland Palatinate’s Parliament

On 15th March 2012, six Rwandan Fine Artists boarded a plane to Germany in the Rhineland-Palatinate state for a 10days art exhibition. The exhibition that saw the 6 young Rwandans return to their homeland Rwanda on 26th March had been organized by the partnership of governments of Rhineland-Palatinate and Rwanda.
Despite several other art exhibitions that were part of the trip, the Rwandans’ most inspiring one was their exhibition at Rhineland-Palatinate parliament that was speared headed by the states’ president Kuck Beck, parliament Joachim Mertens and the Rwandan Ambassador to Germany Christine Nkulikiyinka.
The Rwandan Ambassador Nkulikiyinka expressed gratitude for the organizers of the exhibition and also said that Rwandan artists’ involvement is part of the larger effort of the government of Rwanda to promote youth through creation of job creation activities.

Fahadi Ndangiza, Strong Karakire, Floride Mukabageni, Jean Bosco Bakunzi, Patrick Ruganintwali and Antoine Nshimiyimana is the list of the Rwandan artists who exhibited in Germany.
Ndangiza -owner of Iwacu Art Gallery based in Musanze district said that exhibiting in Germany was a great opportunity given the fact that they met a number of professional artists not to mention selling art pieces at a rich price.
“I was lucky to have sold my art piece in the Rhineland-Palatinate parliament. Therefore from now on wards will be having a Rwandan’s name flying in such a big state’s parliament.†Noted Ndangiza
Rhineland-Palatinate is one of the 16 states of the Federal Republic of Germany. It has an area of 19,846 square kilometres (7,663 sq mi) and about four million inhabitants. The capital is Mainz.
