    Rwanda | Rwandans must fight

This discussion was attended by many people from Musebeya sector and its theme was about the role of leaders in promoting hatred among people in the history of Rwanda till 1994 genocide against Tutsi.

Philbert Mugisha said that commemorating is a way of fighting Genocide and its ideologies and not commemorating is a genocide ideology itself.

After this discussion, residents of Musebeya sector said that no one will ever tell them to hate each again as they learned from the past.

Nason Sibwobugaruka a resident said that bad leaders spread the propaganda and the effects are for the population when the leaders have already gone.

Sibwobugaruka said “when the leaders saw the situation getting complicated, they got in their vehicles and others in the airplanes and left we were left to harvest the effects of the genocide that they encouraged us to do. But this will never happen again because we learnt from our past.”

Residents in Musebeya sector now understand the essence of commemorating and the memorial period and they attend all the programs unlike in the past where most of them would hide instead of joining others.
