    Nyamasheke: residents to solve their own problems


    In the meeting that brought together residents of Bushenge sector in Nyamasheke District with the vice mayor for Finance and Development Charles Bahizi on the 24th.May.2012, residents were asked to participate in solving their own conflicts.

    Rwanda Nyamasheke residentsIn this meeting, Charles Bahizi asked residents to always solve their conflicts through the truth by listening to both sides of the story and to avoid bribes and corruption because it destroys the development of the country.

    Bahizi said, “I don’t understand how a case like land conflict can move to the higher levels when the residents know all the truth about it.”

    He asked people to always go to their neighbours with conflicts and mediate between them and solve their problems and said that for a problem to be solved is for both parties in the conflict to reach a certain resolution which is acted upon.

    In this meeting also, the residents of Bushenge sector were asked to participate in government’s programs that will lead to their development and that of the country in general.
