Munyakazi Cumugabe, a mobiliser that got a uniform, highlights that resident could ask them for identifications and many other questions, which hindered their work.

“Some people could call themselves mobilisers and violate residents’ rights in the process since we had no identification clothing. Uniforms will help us in sensitizing residents to embrace government programs,” explains development mobiliser Charles kananura.

After getting uniforms, development mobilisers confirm that residents respond to what they tell them to do unlike before. Apart from uniforms, mobilisers were given boots and mobile telephones.

Isdole Ncamubanzi denoted: “Uniform will keep me warm, the mobile telephone will enable me give information on time to many people, boots will keep my feet from morning dew and the loud speaker   sends a message to many residents.”

While officially handing over uniforms and other equipments to the development mobilisers on May 28th 2012, Rubaya sector leader Jerome Ngendabanga asked them to keep security and mobilize residents in doing government programs.
