    Rwanda : Kimironko Sector Advisory committee holds a retreat

    Members of advisory committee of Kimironko sector in Gasabo District in Kigali city have met in one day retreat at la Palise Gashora in Bugesera district for evaluation  

    The purpose of the retreat was to evaluate how we handle customer care and what can be done to offer smooth services between local leaders since we hardly get time to meet, remarks Liberata Kanakuze, president of Kimironko sector Advisory committee.

    Kanakuze reveals: “Meeting of advisory committee members of Kimironko sector and sector workers made them point out their weaknesses, what went well and decide on what can be done to improve customer care.”

    Kanakuze adds that people who live and work in Kigali city understand government programs like community work, meetings among others for the development of the residents.

    “During the retreat, it was resolved that sensitization is needed so that town dwellers participate in government programs,” kanakuze laments.

    Florence Ntakontagize, executive secretary for Nyagatovu cell in Kimironko sector narrates: “This retreat has helped me and service delivery will be effective. Offices for example should have signs of names and posts of the leaders, so that residents do not spend time wondering around.”

    In general, building culture of information sharing between employees, listening and solving resident’s problems, and informing residents that good customer service is their right; was talked about in the retreat.
