The government of Rwanda through law enforcers has been fighting all kinds of drug abuse especially burning marijuana and toxic alcohol, but the recent findings revealed dealers new techniques.

Reliable sources in Kabura Cell, Kabarondo Sector, Kayonza District, drug abusers have decided to give new names to the drugs thus deceiving law enforcers of any wrong doing.

Kabura Cell Executive Hesiron Kongolo said that “Ifumbire (manure) and amabaye ya radio (dry cells) are some of the pseudo names that drug abusers have given to bad alcohol so that no law enforcer ever becomes aware of which alcohol is being consumed.”

“You could not fail to find at least 2 brewing locations of Kanyanga (bad alcohol) in Kabura cell every week. However currently through coordination of Police and local authorities, most of the culprits have been cracked down.” Explains the executive

Eastern province is among the regions of Rwanda with high reports of bad alcohol consumption especially due to neighboring Uganda and Tanzania who are also bigger consumers of Kanyanga (Waragi, the bad alcohol).

The government of Rwanda has continued to make campaigns to let people stop using drug abuse after which serious punishments will begin to be imposed on to such law breakers.
