Nyabihu: Itorero formation promotes good governance
In order to promote culture, good governance and development, amatorero have been started in different parts of Rwanda at cell, sector and village levels.
Among those, there is Itorero of senior six leavers, whereby up to 1010 students have joined Itorero activities.
Members of amatorero are trained on civic education, norms and values and good character every Rwandese should posses, which promote good governance.
According to Eugene Rudaseswa, in charge of good governance reveals that Nyabihu district has formed Itorero in each of its 473 villages and its 73 cells, in order to build Rwandan society, promote good governance and aid development.
Rudaseswa adds that unity and reconciliation forums have been created in 12 sectors that make Nyabihu district.
Itorero helps residents to know the values, culture or tradition and to participate in good governance and development of the nation.
