    Ngororero: Sports Ministry joins NEC to support Poor widows

    The closing of the Joint Action Development Forum (JADF) open day in Ngororero district held recently has donated several cows to poor widows and are survivors of the 1994 genocide against Tutsis.

    The programme was directed by the Minister for Sports and Culture Protais Mitali. Cows were given on the support of volunteers in the National Electoral Commission in Ngororero district.

    Mrs. Liberata Irambona the representative of the National Electoral Commission thanked the volunteers in Ngororero district for being the first in calling upon people to support the poor by giving the cows. Minister Mitali also thanked volunteers in the National Electoral Commission in Ngororero district for heeding the president’s advice that Rwandans have to get solutions to their problems where the rich have to help the poor.

    After giving cows out, the Ngororero district partners continued to participate in the open day by presenting their projects they made in 2011/2012 and what they will do in 2012/2013 and those who could not the budget they will support the district with promised to do so by 14th.June.2012.

    Emmanuel Mazimpaka the vice mayor for finance and economic development of Ngororero district who is also the director of JADF Isangano asked district partners who do same kind of work to join forces and to show sectors they will be working in.

     

    Gideon Ruboneza the mayor of Ngororero district present6ed how far the district has reached in fulfilling performing contracts for economic year 2011/2012 and among the new project created, it was found out that in security level in every village every patrol group has mobile telephone so that every problem met gets a solution. In general, all performing contracts are in green colour and on 100percent and others have exceeded that percent as the mayor explained.

    Minister Mitali who follows up Ngororero district on a closer look in the government thanked the district for assessing their performing contracts and the district partners for the way they work with the district in development and asked them to advocate on the different levels they present so as increase on the financial support. He told them to work together for development and to always give good services to those who seek their services.
