Youth advised to fight hatred that divides Rwandans
The Rwandan Minister for Justice, Tharcisse Karugarama accompanied by workers in the ministry of Justice, district workers and genocide orphans in Ngoma sector, visited Murambi memorial centre in Nyamagabe district.
While at Murambi memorial centre on June 9th 2012, minister Karugarama said that Workers in the Ministry of Justice had come to join with the families of 1994 Tutsi genocide victims in commemoration.
After they were explained on the history of Rwanda before and after genocide, Minister Tharcisse Karugarama asked the young generation to avoid ideologies and tribal hatred that divide Rwandese society.
“The problem of tribalism takes us nowhere. It was once preached and resulted into killing infants, old men and women, it was genocide,†Minister Karugarama laments.
According to the memorial centre workers, up to 18000 victims of 1994 Tutsi genocide is buried at Murambi memorial center.
After the visit to Murambi memorial centre, the team proceeded to Huye district and visited genocide orphans living on their own “Urumuri club†in Matyazo cell Ngoma district.
Ministry of Justice workers donated Rwf1 million to the genocide orphans in addition to Rwf200,000 they contributed for the maintenance of Murambi memorial center.
