Model Village exemplary to developing countries-World Bank
The Vice President of Sustainable Development at the World Bank, Racheal Kyte has hailed Rwanda’s Model Village (Agasozi Indatwa) which she recommends for all developing countries.
The World Bank high profile official commends the Rwandan example yesterday after she participated in the Rwandan unique monthly community works Umuganda in the Eastern province.
Racheal Kyte toured Nyagatovu model village in Kayonza district in the Eastern Province from where she witnessed the remarkable improvements in basic infrastructure and welfare in the village model.
“The biogas experience here besides electrification, the livestock you’re growing, the commendable kitchen gardens and all welfare aspects are telling a us a big story of Rwanda, just raising from the ashes of the past,†she noted.
The World Bank official suggested the good example would be a very good example for all developing countries if they’d improve the people’s living standards drastically.
She said the World Bank will continue supporting Rwanda’s development agenda as the government is committed to deliver and keeps being a reliable development partner.
