Rwanda | PSR party upbeat on womens rights

    PSR party upbeat on women

The president of the Labor Party of Rwanda (PSR), Jean Baptiste Rucibigango has said that there is need to increase advocacy for women, with a focus on areas where weakness are still visible.

Rucibigango said noted there is need to help women to have life skills and vocational training especially for those who have not been able to attain education.

During talks organized by PSR party in Bugesera district, women said there is still need to elaborate the concept of gender equality, which has been mostly misinterpreted especially in rural areas.

The participants noted there has been tremendous progress in women emancipation and more efforts need to be put in empowering women economically so as to take part in community development, especially in rural areas.
