Rwandans urged to work hard fostering Development
As a way of promoting residents participation to foster development, Rwanda Governance Board at the end of April 2012 held talks with Kirehe administrators.
The aim of the talks is to explain to the residents how their leaders represent them and how services are delivered.
Rubagumya Antoine, Director of Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) asserts that good governance cannot be achieved when residents are poor.
Rubagumya adds that RGB aims at training local leaders as a way of involving residents in the governance system, and that’s why it’s vital to encourage residents to work with their leaders.
According to the research done on governance and service delivery in five districts, it is revealed that land sector is the leading department with unsolved issues.
Erneste Rwagasana, president for Kirehe district advisory council points out that ways are going to be paved so that all concerned parties make corrections as far as service delivery is concerned.
While research was done only in five districts, Rwanda Governance Board commends revealing the findings to the intended beneficiaries.
